Products and Services
Software / Licenses
If you purchase a software license directly from us or through one of our distribution partners, registration of the software is necessary for copy protection reasons. The Disc ID and the hardware-dependent serial number must be transmitted to akrobit software GmbH in order to obtain an unlock code for the software on a PC. This registration can be done using the contact form on the website, by post, fax or by phone. Depending on the type of transmission, different amounts of information are generated. If available, your first and last name, company, e-mail address, telephone number and address will be stored. This data is used exclusively for license administration and related services, e.g. to assist with technical questions, changing licenses from one PC to another, updates/upgrades of the software, etc.
Usually the products of akrobit software GmbH are acquired in combination with measurement technology of different manufacturers, who are usually also responsible for the distribution of the software. In these cases, license information (Disc ID, serial number) and customer data (name, e-mail/telephone number) may be passed on to the sales partners (known to the customer) in order to optimize the service for the customer (technical support, updates/upgrades, etc.).
In addition to the software, akrobit offers various services (such as extensive support, measurement data cloud, VPN access, mobile solutions, etc.), where additional personal data can be collected depending on the type and scope. Which data is actually involved is regulated when a corresponding contract is concluded.
If you have any questions about this privacy statement, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org we will get back to you as soon as possible. Address and telephone number for written or personal contact can be found in the Contact Information of the website.
